I have the 7000 which is the heavy barrelled version of the 795 w/o sights. It's a excellent rifle BTW except for a heavy trigger pull. The groove is a standard 3/8th dovetail grove people have been puting in 22s forever. It looks like mag changes would take an hour with that stock on. The factory 795 mag release is bad enough without having to reach a couple inches up into the stock to get at it.
